This year the scouts travelled north, to Beaudesert Park in Staffordshire. It is a large woodland site in Cannock Wood. The scouts enjoyed a wide variety of activities including Via Ferrata in a disused quarry, Ice cream making, a night hike and even a day out at Alton Towers!
The weather was varied as ever on a scout camp, but mostly dry and sunny, with a few heavy showers and plenty of mud to boot. Despite this the scouts, many of whom this was their first summer camp, got stuck in and certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Special thanks go to Tony for shuttling us all over the place with the Minibus, despite not actually camping with the scouts.
