This year the scouts travelled north, to Beaudesert Park in Staffordshire. It is a large woodland site in Cannock Wood. Our Beavers recently had an evening where they made poppies to use in St Margaret’s Church. Each poppy carried the name of a service man from Uxbridge who fell during the First World war. The poppies were to take to the Church and would be laid on the altar table at the Remembrance Day service. …
